About Us

John has a MBA and a BSc Psychology (Honours) and is currently engaged in a full-time PhD study within the Ageing Baby Boomers in Australia (ABBA) project, that seeks to inform action for better retirement options.

He worked for nearly 30 years in many managerial functions for a multinational company, but decided to follow his dreams by becoming a counsellor and life coach. It is his greatest wish to help you find your core values and match these with your capabilities for greater happiness to share with your family and your communities. He strongly believes that we can only grow through our social contacts.

John has always been involved in the community, first through little athletics, scouting and later basketball, where he was appointed to various committee functions in these activities. He was elected to the Board of a not-for-profit organisation and as a Rotarian is able to contribute to the community in many different ways. He participated in the VISTA Community Leadership program run by the Shire of Yarra Ranges and volunteers regularly  at the National Stroke Research Institute.

Marjan and John are always keen to try something new by experiencing the exhilaration of a skydive, a Harley ride or a flying lession, but always come to rest again at their home at the foot of the Dandenongs near Melbourne.

To complement the evidence-based approaches of psychology, John has completed a Certficate IV in Life Coaching to provide even better services to people who have achieved so much in life and are ready to take on more challenges, as they believe that fulfilment can be maximised by involvement and development. And yes, this keeps the brain and body healthy!

Retry-ment Approaches specialises in life transitions, retirement planning and migrant assimilation. So why not try our free introductory offer, keeping in mind that places are limited due to John's full-time PhD studies?
